Me and My Friends

Our little angel surprised us today and rolled over for the first time, both ways. Unfortunately I was not there to see it. Only her daddy was. Of course she would wait until I walked out of the room to do it. All those days of hard work I have put into trying to teach her how, and how does she repay me…EEERRRRR! But that is ok; I did get to see her roll from her tummy to her back for the first time. At least she saved that for me. I will take what I can get:( I guess that is all part of her learning how to manipulate things, which she is getting very good at. She has figured out that those funny looking things protruding out of her body are her arms and she can control them. She is starting to reach for things and understand how to control them. Watch out daddy, she has her eye on your remote. Or maybe I should be saying watch out Leisa. I think we are going to have to keep a close eye on this situation:(~ Her walker has become her new best friend, now that she knows what to do with it. At first I think she was over stimulated but now she has the hang of it. It keeps her busy for a while and then it’s on to the next thing. She will have to be content with the toys she has now or else we are going to need a separate house for just her stuff. So you hear that everyone, only boxes for Christmas:)

You Talkin' To Me?

I don't think she will have any problems fitting into this family. And yes, I am talking about both sides. We wont go into detail as to why; I am sure the picture speaks for itself :)~

Oink Oink!

Doesn’t she look just like Miss Piggy! I can’t help but laugh at our little piggy; she’s just too cute. I love to pinch and kiss her chunky little thighs. We keep telling her we are going to cook her for Thanksgiving. She would make the perfect turkey, size and all. But her grandma says I better stop telling her that or I am going to traumatize her for life. I guess heer daddy has some experience in that department, but he doesn't like to talk about it. Besides getting chunky, our little meatball is doing great. She is really enjoying her cereal and not being shy about when she is ready for the next bite. Which never seems to come to an end. I am the one who has to call it quits or I think she would keep eating until she explodes. She likes to open her mouth big and wide and grunt at me. That’s why I call her my little piggy now. Oh, and by the way, no one ever told me how bad the poopies smell now. Who ever thought that just rice cereal could cause all that stink. STINKY! If they get worse than this she may have to start changing her own diapers. No need to worry though, Marco swears she will be potty trained before she is 2. I’m still trying to figure out what dream world he is living in. Lets just say I’m not holding my breath. She is full of surprises, but I don’t think even she could pull that one off.

Opening Night

The time has finally come to introduce our little angel to cereal for the first time. It was quite an interesting, and of course, a very exciting event! The cameras were rolling and on came the food. Literally! At first she wasn’t too sure what to think of it, but once she realized she could eat it, I couldn’t spoon it into her mouth fast enough. She even started leaning in for it. That’s my little piggy! I think there was more of it on her than actually went in her mouth. We will have to work on the technique a little bit, but I don’t think we will get any objections for more out of this little meatball. Speaking of which, she went to the doctor this week to get her second round of shots. YUK! I think it is worse for us than it is for her. I cry longer than she does( It turns out she is not as meaty as we thought she was; only weighing in at 14lbs. 12 oz. I swear she feels heavier than that (or maybe I am just out of shape). She is also 24 inches long now, which is above average, so I am not to sure whom she is going to take after in that department yet. Hopefully her daddy. All in all, the doctor says she looks great! We get to start her on solids in about 2 months, so I am looking forward to seeing those funny faces.
