Tis the Season

How can it be January already? Time sure does fly when you’re having fun. And we have been doing just that. Well, in between all the craziness of the holidays. If things weren’t so crazy during the holidays, what else would we have to blame our shortcomings on? Somehow we managed to keep our sanity enough to tell about it. We have a lot to catch you up on, so let’s get started. Leisa made it through her first Christmas with more stuff than she (and us) knows what to do with. I am partly to blame for that. Notice how I didn’t say WE. Marco said we should just wrap boxes and give them to her, but no…I somehow convinced myself she would actually know the difference. So mommy decided to buy her a few toys. Not to mention I also didn’t think about all the other stuff other people might get her. I think I was having a blonde moment that day. Let’s just say I don’t think she will need any more toys for a LONG time. Long story short (a little late for that) she was SPOILED on her first Christmas. And so were we. Only we weren’t spoiled by material things, we were spoiled to have her with us this Christmas. What more could we ask for? We love her so much!

Just in time to ring in the New Year, she learned how to crawl. And so it begins! It seems like it happened over night. She caught on quick, and quick she moves. It seems like she got smarter at the same time too. She sees something she wants and it doesn’t matter what you do to keep her away from it she will find a way to get it. And she doesn’t forget either. She just makes you think she did. So my days just got a whole lot more interesting, and of course, busy. Although I will say she tends to entertain herself more now. This does give me a little (just a little) bit of a break, as long as she is staying out of trouble. That is usually not the case. I am still trying to figure out how she knows to go after everything that is off limits. It must be that invisible person telling them what to do that they always seem to be staring at and talking to. At least that’s my theory on the matter. Well, with all her new strides, she continues to provide us with plenty of entertainment watching her grow and develop her little personality. We enjoy just sitting back and watching her go. It’s cute to see the little chunky monkey get around. Now we just need more space for her and all her stuff. We hope that your holidays were as fulfilling and as joyous as ours. We wish you all the best in the New Year! Salute!
