I swear daddy... I didn't do it!

Already under lock and key, and she cant even crawl. There is no hope for this child. I swear we will try not to be too over protective. We will save that craziness for when the boys come knocking. Her daddy will have a field day with that. Thankfully we still have a few years before we have to deal with that. But I am sure, as with everything else, it will be here before we know it. Which leads me to our newest development….Teething! OUCH! Our little darling has started teething, and she is not a happy camper. She can’t keep her hands out of her mouth, or anything else for that matter, and she constantly drools. Look out Scruffy; I think you may have some competition in the slobber department. I think I may have to permanently attach a burp cloth to my body. And no Paw Paw, you cannot give her whiskey, that’s what they make Baby Orajel for.

On a lighter note, Leisa got to meet some more family this weekend for the first time. I know her Maw Maw was really missing her, so we took a drive to Daytona this past weekend so she could see her. She needed her Leisa fix, just like the rest of us. We can’t ever seem to get enough. Unfortunately that was the first day it became evident to us that she was teething, so she was a little cranky. Well to be honest, cranky isnt exactly what I would call it. More like pitiful and you know what at the same time. But that didn’t stop them from eating her up. It just added a little zest to the mix (that is meatball mix of course). All in All, I know her Uncle Randy, Aunt Marci, Aunt Pat and Uncle Tracy were all very happy to meet her. And of course, Her Maw Maw was thrilled to see her. Lets just hope future visits wont be so painful:)~ He he….

Sideways Glance

Sideways Glance

What do you get when you have a mommy and daddy who were chubby babies.... a little meatball we like to call Leisa!! We are convinced she is just growing outward and not so much lengthwise. I swear I do not overfeed her. I'm not sure walking will be an easy task with the size of those legs. Ok, ok, I will stop picking on her before Grandma Carmen has to come to the rescue. Let's see what out little butterball has been up to...

Over this past week, Leisa has learned how to turn herself over onto her side. She hasn’t quite made it all the way over yet, but it is only a matter of time. When she is on her side, her chubby cheeks get in the way and she thinks they are something to eat….Mommy! Needless to say, she is making progress. I am not sure whom she gets it from, but she is definitely a big talker. She likes to be heard and she will make sure you hear, even from the other room. Lets not forget to mention that she also likes to sing. She will sing right along with you when you are singing to her, and of course steal the show. It becomes a game of who can out sing whom. I think she is going to be the singer of the family. Car rides can be quite interesting too. You definitely wont forget she is in the car with you. Unless of course she is sleeping. But don’t bet your cards on it, you would have to first convince her to stay in her car seat. I see trouble in the future with this one. As soon as she is old enough and can figure it out, it will be a battle to keep her in the thing. She is already pulling at the buckles frantically trying to free herself. Hopefully this will pass, but that is a bridge we will cross when we get there. No need to rush in to things. We have enough on our plates. Meatballs anyone??? :)

Hello Everyone

Hello Everyone…

And welcome to our family website! We thought it would be nice to let you share in our everyday adventures and join us on our journey through parenthood. Now that we are parents, we find it difficult keeping up with all the phone calls and emails to try and stay in touch, so maybe this will help. Leisa is growing up so fast, and we love every minute of it, but now I think it is time you all get to enjoy her too. I will be posting bits of news to keep you updated on how she is doing and any other fun stuff we think you might enjoy. Later this week I will be sharing with you some of Leisa's newest accomplishments so please come back soon…and enjoy the show!
